Privacy Policy for Jhandi Munda

Also known as Langur Burja — a single-device board game, played with dice, for Android. Free to play, supported by advertising.

The short version. This game has no account, no login and no server of its own. Everything you do in it — your players' names, your round history, your settings and your unlocked styles — is stored only on your own device and is never sent anywhere.

The one exception is advertising. The game shows ads from Google AdMob, and the AdMob software collects information for that purpose, including your device's advertising ID. That is the only data about you that leaves your phone, and it is described in full below.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Android application Jhandi Munda (Langur Burja), published under the package name com.mobileappmentor.langur_burja, and to nothing else. It explains what the app stores, what leaves your device, why, and what you can do about it.

In this policy "we", "us" and "the developer" mean Prasish Sharma, the individual developer of the app. There is no company, no staff and no third party with access to anything described here.

2. What the app stores on your device

The app keeps a small amount of information in local storage on your phone. None of it is transmitted, backed up to us, or visible to anyone but you. We cannot see any of it, because there is nowhere for it to be sent to.

What is stored Why Leaves your device?
The name of the banker and your own name, as last used So the app can pre-fill them the next time you set up a table, instead of asking you to type them again No
Round history — up to the 200 most recent round results. Each entry holds the player's name, the round number, the game mode, the dice that were rolled, what was staked and returned, and the date and time the round was played. The in-app history and statistics screens No
Settings — language, theme, sound, haptics, reduced motion, reminder on/off and reminder times To keep the app the way you set it No
Unlocked and selected cosmetic items (dice, felt, backgrounds, token art, celebrations) To remember what you own and what you are using No
In-game token counters and timers — your bonus pot, when you last claimed a free bag, how many rewarded videos you have watched today To run the free-token economy and to apply the app's own limits on how many ads it will show you No

Player names are personal to you, and they stay that way. They are typed by you, used only to label seats at a table on your own phone, and written only to your device's own storage. Because the game is played by passing one phone around, those names may be other people's — so it is worth being explicit: they are never transmitted, never shared with advertisers, and never seen by the developer. Nothing in the app requires a real name, and you are free to use nicknames.

Time zone

If you turn on daily reminders, the app reads your device's time zone name (for example Asia/Kathmandu) so that a reminder set for 8 pm actually arrives at 8 pm. This is read from the operating system and used on your device only. It is not stored on a server and not sent to us.

3. What the app does not do

4. Advertising — the data that does leave your device

The app is free and is paid for by advertising. It uses Google AdMob to show two kinds of ad: full-screen ads between rounds, and rewarded videos that you choose to watch in exchange for in-game tokens or decorative items.

Rewarded videos are never forced on you: the game is completely playable without ever watching one, and if you run out of tokens the game will always give you more so that a round can finish. To be precise about what they do unlock — most of the decorative items in the style collection (dice faces, table felts, backgrounds, token art and celebrations) can only be obtained by watching a rewarded video. Six items, one in every category, are free from the start, so no part of the game is ever unavailable to you. Watching is always your choice, and you are told what you will receive before the video begins.

To select and measure those ads, Google's advertising software collects information from your device. This happens inside Google's own code, not ours, and we never receive a copy of it.

Collected by Google AdMob Purpose Shared with Google?
Advertising ID (a resettable identifier assigned by Android) Ad selection, frequency capping, measurement, fraud prevention Yes
Approximate location, derived from your IP address (country / region level — not GPS) Serving ads relevant to your country and complying with local law Yes
Device and app information — device model, operating system version, language, app version Ad compatibility and rendering Yes
Ad interaction events — that an ad was requested, shown, watched or tapped Measurement, billing and invalid-traffic detection Yes

Google acts as an independent controller of this data. Its handling is governed by Google's own policies, not by ours:

Ad creatives are displayed inside a system web view supplied by Google's advertising software. That web view is used to render the ad and for nothing else — the game itself loads no web pages, and it downloads no images or content from the internet.

Ad content

Ads served in this app are limited to a maximum content rating of PG — suitable for most audiences with parental guidance. This limit is set by the app itself on every ad request.

5. Your choices about advertising

Everyone

Android lets you control the advertising ID directly, outside this app. On most devices: Settings → Google → Ads, where you can reset your advertising ID or delete it entirely. Deleting it stops apps, including this one, from receiving a usable identifier for personalised advertising.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland

The first time the app requests an ad, it shows a consent form provided by Google's User Messaging Platform, a Google-certified consent management platform. You choose there whether to allow personalised advertising. Your choice is recorded by that platform and respected on every later request.

You can change your mind at any time. Where a consent form applies to you, the app shows an “Ad privacy options” row in the About panel — opened with the ⓘ button on the bar at the bottom of the home screen — which reopens the same form so you can review or withdraw your consent. That row is hidden for users outside the regions where the form applies, because there would be nothing for it to open.

If you refuse consent, the app will not request personalised advertising. The game remains fully playable.

6. Permissions the app requests, and why

Some of the permissions below are declared by the app itself; others are added automatically by Google's advertising software when it is included. Both kinds are listed, because both appear on the Google Play listing.

Permission Why it is there
INTERNET
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Requesting and displaying ads. The game itself makes no network requests of any kind.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID Added by Google's advertising software so it can read the advertising ID.
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS
Added by Google's advertising software for Android's Privacy Sandbox advertising APIs.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE
WAKE_LOCK
Added by Google's advertising software so that video ads can play without interruption.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS Optional daily play reminders. Only requested after you have finished a round, and only if you agree. Notifications are scheduled entirely on your device — there is no push service and no server.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED Restores your reminder schedule after the phone restarts or the app updates. Nothing is sent anywhere.
VIBRATE Haptic feedback when dice land and tokens are collected. Can be turned off in the Table feel panel on the home screen bar.

The app deliberately does not request exact-alarm permissions, location permissions, storage permissions, or access to contacts, camera or microphone.

7. Children

This app is not directed at children and is not part of Google Play's Designed for Families programme. We do not knowingly collect any information from children, and the app is not configured for child-directed treatment in its advertising settings.

The game is a traditional family board game and contains no real-money gambling — see section 8. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us at the address at the end of this policy and we will assist, although in practice the app stores nothing that could identify a child and sends nothing to us.

8. In-game tokens contain no real money

Jhandi Munda is a traditional festival board game, played with six dice, for fun. The tokens used in the game are decorative counters only. They:

There are no in-app purchases, no payments and no real-money gambling of any sort. No financial or payment information is collected, because there is nothing to pay for.

9. Keeping and deleting your information

Because everything the game stores is on your device, you are in complete control of it and can remove it at any time:

Round history is capped at the 200 most recent entries; older entries are discarded automatically as you play. We hold no copy of anything, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and no retention period on our side.

Note that if you have Android's backup feature enabled, your device may include the app's local data in your own Google backup. That backup belongs to you and to Google under your Google account settings; we have no access to it.

10. Security

Data stored by the app stays in the app's private storage area, which Android protects from other apps on the device. Ad requests made by Google's advertising software use encrypted HTTPS connections.

Because we operate no servers and receive no data, there is no database of ours that could be breached.

11. International users

The app is available worldwide. Since the app sends us nothing, no international transfer of data to us takes place. Data collected by Google's advertising software may be processed in countries other than your own, in accordance with Google's own policies linked in section 4.

12. Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects this policy — for example if a new third-party service is added — this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date at the top will change. Significant changes will also be reflected in the app's Play Store listing. Please check this page from time to time.
